August 17, 2021 Day 37

Neck is better, just still stiff. I had a small tummy ache that didn't last long and paid attention to what I ate carefully today. I could have had a lot more water, but overall I had a successful day. I just REALIZED I forgot to take my herbs before dinner though! UGH! That means I'll have a nice bitter herbal tea after this post I suppose! Gah! I have such a nice minty taste in my mouth too! Arrrg. Also my hips have been super tight! I stretched (very pathetically) yesterday and even just after 2 lunges they were better! I swear! I feel like I am not neglecting my body at all, but for me to do a diet this restricted (without a kitchen mind you) and try to squeeze in some self care/yoga/walking time is such a challenge! Then add mindfulness time and I'm just only good at one of those at a time! Ha! So my focus is the diet and herbs! I did go for a very nice long/fast pace walk this evening though with my dear friend and neighbor! That was a delight and if I thought my hips were tight last night - good grief! They tightened up just walking across the street to her! Yikes! It's good for me to recognize and hear that from my body though for sure. I have had a couple successful bathroom days! Happy about that for sure! I was also down another pound this morning! Not upset about that either! My fingers have been a little more swollen which could be anything. The swelling in my hands has been so minor that I can notice pretty little joint pains now. Hopefully it goes away again for good though!


Breakfast - Skipped

Snack - PB and CELERY!!!

Lunch - Skip

Snack - Pop chips (the 3 ingredient sea salt ones - and my tummy ache was before I ate these..I think!)

Dinner - Oooo my most excited meal to report thus far! HANDS DOWN!!!! I made this instant pot curry chicken in soy milk and served it (to myself, my family got take out - even though they LOVED my dinner!) but I served the chicken over sautéed zucchini. It was so comforting and warm and creamy and delicious! Super simple and just spices and soy milk with garlic and butter and chicken! That was it! I was going to serve it over cauliflower rice but the chicken and the zucchini alone was just so perfect!


Off to go drink my herbs....yippee.....
