August 4, 2021 Day 24
Oh goodness this week has seemed so busy! It is so funny how some weeks I feel relaxed and nice and mellow and then others I feel like a crazy person wondering how us crazy busy folks survive these weeks. Literally how do we get up, start laundry, feed the kids, pack lunches or bags for the day, leave to do lists for the sitters or our kids or ourselves or all the above? Then go off to work ourselves, after of course feeding the animals and letting them out! Gah! and lets not even start on the evenings! Haha! For me it's usually a battle for time and having a fluid schedule and arranging childcare! I swear every week is different! I don't mean different in a bad way either! We have great childcare which has been a blessing this summer! But it is challenging to figure out every single day because they are all different! I like more routine, consistent schedules and I'm sure once schools starts maybe it'll get easier - but I also feel like I say this every single year (even before I was ever a Mom). Another sign I need to take a chill pill. I can't help it though I am addicted to the stress of it I think! For the most part it's a good, healthy stress too! Ok back to diet and body! This isn't a venting blog!
Overall I felt really good today! I worked in the am, took my son on a date, and even forced myself to hit Costco! (I am not a fan of running errands, or being out and about for too long!) Then I got home and still had the energy to unload everything! We got invited to a baseball game, so I started our dinner prep, ate, hit the chiropractor and then the baseball game. By the end of the night though I had a pretty raging headache. I slept great though. I also failed in a frustrated moment where Patrick has been very clear about the importance of staying calm and keeping movement low vs. throwing arms around and yelling (not that I did that, but I probably was close enough!)
Breakfast - Skipped
Lunch - Scrambled egg in a cup (our stove is shut off until we can find and fix a gas leak in our house! add it to the list!)
Dinner - Oooo I'm so proud of myself for 1. making salmon & 2. growing to love salmon! I made a fresh yummy piece of salmon with lemons, dill, olive oil on a cedar plant with asparagus, potatoes, and zucchini on the Traeger.
Snack - Peanut Butter on a spoon (I'm an addict and feel like it's saved my life)
Also I think I'm down another pound now! Not that I'm doing it for that but again I am thrilled to have it as a side effect as I certainly have some LB's to lose!
