August 7, 2021 Day 27

I have a confession. I am horrible at knowing how to tell dates! Like what week am I in? Do I count from the Monday I started to this Monday, does 30 days equal a month or 31? HA! I do alright if I look at a calendar but just on the fly I'm no good at this! So I think I'm in week 4 (IE - 1st month almost down 8 to go right?) Oh well I think I'm close to being through month 1 is all that matters!


I had another revelation today while chatting about this journey I am on! So I try really hard to stretch sometimes while I am massaging or at least while I am at work. Sometimes my body is in weird positions so I can get the right angle and pressure I want on someone. I try to be mindful of my own body mechanics (sometimes I am horrible) other times I take advantage of the pose and use it to my advantage and get a stretch. I also try to stretch my arms/shoulders each time during some breathing exercises we do at the beginning and end of each appointment. Well typically when I do the big arm roll/shoulder stretch my right should (I tore it a couple years ago) makes some nasty pop and crunchy sounds. This morning I noticed with my first client, my shoulder was smooth sailing. Second client - same thing quiet, smooth, glide. Third - it got a little crunchy but still nothing major or big pop. I should mention that with my third client we were talking also about this journey and when I said OMG my shoulder didn't pop so that's another win! She agreed, yes it does, every time! So I assume they hear the pops and cracks my old bones make. That shoulder does it every single time and I do it usually 3 times in a row 2 times during the session. It is not loud or obnoxious or anything but it's just there. So needless to say I'm pretty excited about this little victory! My back has had no relief yet but I'm not discouraged at all about that. I gave the dog a bath today and didn't think I'd be able to stand up straight for a bit after being hunched over here! I wish this blog had silly emojis so I could enter something embarrassing here. All in all a good day. I hit a wall around 4pm but I think it was just a crash of relaxation. mixed with went to bed late, got up early and work.


Breakfast - Scrambled eggs

Lunch - Celery and peanut butter

Dinner - Tuna with celery and a couple handfuls of popcorn

Snack - Glass of soy milk
